RE: PROJECT #– SR. BUSINESS CONSULTANT [IPA Consultant]

Since our first meeting with [IPA Consultant] on July 26, 2006, our company has begun a transformation. The insight and tools that he has provided us with will allow us to maintain a better understanding of day-to-day expenses and the effect they have on the "big" picture, as well as allow us to move into the future with a better understanding of how to deal with the ever-changing manufacturing industry.

Some of the ways [IPA Consultant] has done this include the following:

1. Set-up a system to price our products by using several spreadsheets to figure overhead, machine operating costs, labor burden rates and other items that all factor into being able to set an accurate and profitable price.
2. Several financial tracking spreadsheets (Annual/Monthly Budgeting, 8-week Cash Flow, Situation Report) that give us summarized information in one place for quick reference and better planning.
3. Production and scrap tracking spreadsheets that have greatly helped us in getting a grasp on true production rates and scrap percentages, so they can be better controlled.
4. Created an organization structure, job descriptions, a new employee handbook, personal conduct standards, performance review system, and a non-production employee incentive plan. All these tools will help in establishing better communication throughout each area of the company, as well as encourage longevity of employment by rewarding those who are doing a good job.

To summarize, our time with [IPA Consultant] has been very valuable. Our industry is going through many changes and by utilizing the tools he has provided us with, we will be able to meet them head-on with greater confidence. He is not only an excellent consultant, but he has become a good friend and will be greatly missed. We thank him for everything he has done.
